The firm has provided counsel to many of the largest agri-businesses in Florida and has consulted on transactions in a number of other regions.  Mr. Peter G. Latham holds the position of general counsel to both Citrus World, Inc., the makers of Florida’s Natural brand juices as well as Southeast Milk, Inc., the largest dairy cooperative founded in the Southeastern United States.  The firm represents and has assisted growers, ranchers, fishermen, sod and sugar cane interests as well as processors, manufacturers and cooperative associations relating to agri-business and food products.  These matters have included the following:

• Development of over 10,000 acre of citrus groves
• Obtaining approvals for new process and food preparation with the FDA
• Creation, mergers and joint ventures  involving agricultural cooperatives
• Litigation of agricultural supply contracts
• Class Action defense related to “food processing” claims
• Assist clients in obtaining permits, special legislation and tax exemption for agricultural interests
