Jay E. Lazarovich is a member of the firm’s Public Finance and Real Estate department, where he focuses his practice on affordable housing and bond financing. Jay serves as issuer’s counsel, disclosure counsel and special counsel to local housing finance authorities, non-profit lenders, and the statewide housing finance corporation. Jay’s experience includes the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable bonds, loans, and grants. Jay also serves as general counsel to community development districts, assisting with the issuance of special assessment revenue bonds, property and infrastructure conveyances, compliance with statutory requirements and contractual needs of the Districts.
Jay earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. He worked full-time while attending law school in the evening. Jay’s previous experience includes title, real estate, and community association matters. Prior to law school, Jay attended the University of Tampa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Law, Justice, and Advocacy.
